All I can tell you is that Wiz came to me at 8 weeks old ( I never knew at the time that 12 weeks was the norm but the breeder should have ) . Anyways , he is the most sociable little guy at 4 months old you could ever care to meet . That being said I socialized him ( carefully ) from the moment he came home . He has met other dogs ( we have a shepherd ) cat , kids , different sounds and situations . I just did what I would do with any puppy . Started training him from day 1 . His size made me careful but I still did it . He even met my neighbours hedgehog . I tried not to baby him too much ( and believe me that was hard ) .He listens well for a little guy .Every puppy is unique ( and I am no expert ) but I think if you give them the basics when they are young , you are more likely to have a well adjusted adult .
