I worked with a guy who really needed the surgery, and I have tried to talk him into it, but he won't do it. He needs to lose at least 200 lbs, and he is having all sorts of health problems related to his weight. I am sure his quality (and quantity) of life would be increased if he had the surgery. |
I hope you can convince him to at least check into the surgery. I was a yoyo dieter all my life. I often joke that I've lost several people, but they kept coming back!
When my husband died unexpectedly, I gained a lot of weight and became diabetic in the process. I had unhealthy lipid levels and HPB.
I became very afraid for my life and the surgery was a Godsend for me. It hasn't been easy, and I've developed an ulcer recently - but I'd do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it to ANYONE as a way to help become healthy again.
I feel like I've come out from under a cloud that covered me all the time.
