I have just one thing to add..don't carry them too much. When any dog is being carried and their higher than others, their status is "elevated" in their mind. My only yorkie tends to fight if I carry him to a friend's house with another yorkie but if I let him walk himself in, with a leash he does well. I also used to carry him on walks when I see other big dogs and he will growl at times. Now, I just scan my path and when I see a dog at a distance, I cross the road with him walking by himself and he does a lot better. |
