Hi I'm new to this forum. I just purchased my little lucy a week ago. She is now 9 weeks.
she is the one on the right.
She is in the process of training me. She has taught me when she sits in front of the couch with her paws in the air and wines that I'm suppose to pick her up and put her on the couch. She has also taught me that when she starts sniffing and running around in a circle that its time to go potty. I have also learned that my toes and fingers are not good chew toys and that I better find her something she likes to chew on. She continues to try to teach me things. I can tell by the expression on her face, the way she kind of growls at me and cocks her head side ways.
Our problems so far potty training and constipation. I left her on the same dog food that the breeders had her on. She got so constipated she started scooting her but on the carpet making a poopy street across the carpet. I took her out side and nothing seem to come out. I came back in and gave her a bath because she had poopy on her but and noticed her butthole was pooched out and very red. She did finally go to the bathroom last night and she has gone today too. thank goodness.
Today I took her out to potty and she runs around a couple of minutes then takes off in a fast run straight to the living room to pee. I did catch her in time though. I'm thinking about putting a pee pad outside. I really want her to get used to going out side.
I also need to find her something she likes to chew on besides my toes, fingers and books. I had to spray my toes with tea tree oil. I have bought her several toys. I even bought her a chew to. They only hold her interest for a short period of time. I thought I had found something that she really liked "Greenies dental treat". She was just chewing away. I started reading the package and it said not for dogs less than 5 lbs and under 6 months old. oops.
I'm really glad I found this site.
