When I brought Bella home, I remember driving alone & Bella was in a carrier beside me. She never attempted to get out. Only kept her eye on me the whole time. Of course, I mean she was taken away from her real Mommy & then from her brothers/sisters.
So, when I put her in the crate, I would make sure I was in full view at all times. At nite, I put the crate right beside me at the bed. I would even sometimes put my hand inside the crate to touch her so she would fall asleep. As long as she could see me, she seemed satisfied. Yorkies just want to be near you at all times. Especially, if you are gone @work....she's panicking that you are leaving again. I know it's tough in the beginning, but in time, it will get better.
