As long as there is a cleft and tube feeding...there is the possibility of pneumonia.
The Dr told her that they could deal with pneumonia if they need to but they do not want to give antibiotics unnecessarily and then have her system immune to them if and when she does need them. So it is a concern that has already been considered and addressed.
