Yes, they have a deductiable AND a coinsurance. The plan goes like this: You have a $4000 bill, the deductiable is 200 and the coinsurance is 10% (of total bill) so I would only have to pay $600 for a $4000 procedure. I bought the "bronze with a 10% coinsurance and a 200 deductiable and paid just over $200 for the year. I guess I'm figuring that if anything happens it's going the cost is going to be up there so I'd better be safe than sorry. (The liver shunt procedure that her other one was going to have was going to be over $6000....there was no way they could have afforded it even if they could have saved her) I bought it for them for the 1st year....you can always change the plan according too. I just pray that they NEVER have to use it. Leah is very healthy right now but you never know....we didn't know that Carmen was sick until it was too late. Good luck to you and let me know what you decide.
