I would definitely take her to the vet. The fact that it looks dry and bumpy and has scabby dots on the inside, coupled with the fact that it's sore probably means it's something more than just "swimmer's ear" or something like that. Ear infections are common in dogs with hair growing on the inside of their ears. I noticed an odor in Bella's ears a few weeks ago and noticed that she would rub at them with her paws, but they looked clean and pink (hairy, but otherwise good) on the inside. I took her in anyway and the vet checked her over. Everything was fine, but he said she may be getting swimmer's ear from bathing. He recommended cleaning her ears with Vet Solutions ear cleansing solution after every bath, and that seems to have done the trick for her (plus it smells nice and is pretty inexpensive). It sounds to me like whatever is going on with your pups ears, some kind of medicine will probably need to be involved to treat it.
