Pixie was spayed just a few weeks ago..and she is a little under 3lbs..like you..I was worried sick about the whole thing!
I went to see my chosen vet with a list of questions..what type of anaesthesia did they use?, did they operate on a heated surface? would they be able to do the pre-op bloodwork? etc etc.. he was very patient,understanding & confident about the whole thing...he put my mind at rest..and Pixie did brilliantly!
within 24 hours she was almost back to normal! she had a tiny 1.5cm incision which healed very quickly with no problems. she also had 7 baby teeth removed, nails all trimmed and a microchip while under anaesthesia.
