You don't have to have her spayed right now, I know most people do it when they are 6 months, I believe it's because they can have their first heat cycle at 6 months, someone hear probably has more info about it. But, if you are really that concerned about doing it right now, you don't absolutely have to.
And the other two are right, you can request that they do a test on her before the spay to make sure she will be ok. The vets I have gone to in the past offer heart monitors and all kinds of stuff that they can use to detect if anything starts going wrong during the surgery.
