If there is another pup in there and she waits 3 days, the Mom will die! A dead pup inside her Uterus will cause an infection that will most certainly kill the female. That Vet needs to go back to school! If she refuses to take her to a new Vet, have her stand her up, and gently squeeze her tummy area to feel for more pups, should feel lumpy. A single pup is usually a big pup due to getting all the nutrients from Mom. Sometimes it is necessary to pull the pup, but there is a way to do that safely, which she probably didn't study for. Glad to hear the pup is alive. These kind of things drive me crazy. Now she can call herself a breeder....
