This sounds like one of those vets that wouldn't go the extra mile if you got into an emergency or whatever. I have a very expensive vet and I complain to him about the prices but he is veeeeeeeeery good and came in during the SuperBowl when my dogs ate an overdose of Remedel. He has met me a few other times too, once when one played with a toad and went into shock. This stuff one can't protect against. So...He is worth the expense. Little dogs need emergency care more than big dogs and that is a big deal for me with a vet. Your's does not seem to put your loved one's health first. Get thee to another vet I say!
