When AKC decides whether or not to reg a dog, in this case we are discussing parti Yorkies, they have several people look at the pics and the paper work from the puppy, its ancestors and then decide about the registration. Remi has black and tan so those are his colors. Opposite the color boxes are ones to list markings. That is where the parti is indicated. When I sent Remi's paperwork to AKC, I sent 4 pics, a letter of explanation and the application. I make sure I have COPIES of everything. I sat back and waited and about 4-6 weeks went by and I received his reg papers. I had a friend do a pedigree on him and add his pic to the pedigree. It is great because not only is his pic on there but names and info about his ancestors' breeders.
