Josie knows her name when it is convenient for her. If she wants to come back, she knows her name. If you say "Josie, wanna go outside"- she knows her name. However, "Josie, let's go in" may fall to a deaf ear. I have taught them (we have 3 dogs) that when I clap my hands and call their name, it is treat time. that seems to work better and it is louder.
