Being AKC registered is no guarantee of their future health. A reputable breeder will do health testing on the parents (liver, knees, etc.) to make sure they don't pass on any genetic conditions to their offspring. Did you ask your breeder to see evidence of health testing before you bought your puppy?
Has your vet done a bile acids test on Mya? Checked her knees?
