I'd be very upset!
I always go back with my baby. There's no way in the world that they would stop me, if they tried, I'd go somewhere else. My vet is just wonderful and I've even seen him change needles on the vaccination for a much tinier one so that it wouldn't hurt Scooter. Scooter never even so much as whimpers. It might be time for you to find another vet.
