A couple of days ago I read an article in the newspaper about a dog study. The study was to determine if dogs were capable of showing empathy to humans. While watching a human yawn 76% of the dogs also yawned. Then they mentioned in a prior study that dogs do not recognize themselves in a mirror. I'm still puzzled over that one. What does the dog think when they look in the mirror and see you holding a dog. If they don't recognize themself then do they think you are cheating on them???
