So of course I'm a bit concerned. My husband will take her in on Wednesday morning at about 8:00 and they'll do her surgery first thing. They'll monitor her all day long and then we can pick her up around 5:30 that afternoon. I'm worried though that the next morning I'll have to leave her crated because we'll both be off to work. I know she just sleeps all day while we're gone, so do you think she'll be okay? I've heard I can buy a baby onesie to keep her from her incision.... what size do I get? OR.... do you think I should reschedule the spay for next week and see if my husband can get a day off work to stay home with her? Any other advice or comforting thoughts are welcomed... I know I'm going to be a nervous wreck. |
honestly- i would reschedule. Layla did not take well to anesthetic. she needed me to hold her up to help her potty and she was too out of it to drink or eat. Unless you know how your girl will react- i'd have someone home with her. many yorkies come home and you'd never know they had an operation and some need a lot of help. I think everyone would feel better if somene was with her.
