I sent a very lengthy email to Dateline NBC requesting that they do a story on the sicko teacup/designer dog industry. I've read so many sad stories here and elsewhere of people who paid thousands and ended up with heartbreak, huge vet bills and standard-sized dogs (when they expected 2 or 3 pounders), I'm just sick of it all. Now I've learned that my next-door neighbor bought for size and ended up with a standard minpin with luxating patellas.

I'm hoping that a story like that would drag this evilness into the light and educate the public. But should I not hold my breath?
