I do sometimes check our local GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada prices. I was in the Black Hills 3 weeks ago - that was the worst - about 4.20 was the worst I saw - but at one station I read that the tax - state, local, etc was .42-cents a gallon 
Here in Iowa they are talking about increasing the gas tax to help pay for road repairs etc. I know if I'm driving across the country - there are certain states I will try to avoid buying gas if at all possible.
Illinois is horrid - when I drive south like to Tennessee - I fill up here and then fill again in St. Louis - so I don't need gas in Illinois - I feel sorry for those of you who live there.  |
I'm in eastern Iowa and it is $3.55 a gallon. Maybe I need to move!!
