pups I do not let the pup go the first time I meet the buyer. If all goes well, they can put down a deposit..then wait two weeks to get the pup. I do not like spur of the moment purchases. Two weeks is enough time to make a vet appointment..get ready. I ask the new owner to go from my house to the vet appt..then I call and talk with the vet afterwards to make sure they made an appointmemt for the next vaccine series, show them the spay/neuter contract etc...aren't I a bitch? We have something very precious and I feel like that life is my responsiblity forever..the puppy is here because of me and deserves the best care.
The more you act like you do not want to get "rid" of your pups, the more people beg you for them..then you get the very best, most caring types of pet lovers at your door. They have been looking for months and have no desire to buy from a "rush them out the door type breeder". |
