Has he peed yet? If he has not peed - I REALLY think you need to call your vet asap, bc then it sounds like he can't pee, not just that he's holding it - and that could be an emergency. It could also eventually involve his kidneys if he doesn't pee - and you do not want that.
For constipation, give him mineral oil - about 1/2 tsp now. In an hour, give another 1/2 tsp; wait a couple more hours and give another 1/2 tsp. - he really should go after that. You could try pumpkin - but I don't think it's "strong" enough to work quickly enough for what this little guy needs.
