We just went through a difficult mating. The male couldn't seem to 'find the mark'. After thinking about it, we took the females hair on her haunches and banded it away from her rear. With a 'clear shot', the male was able to connect easily. There had been 3 unsuccessful tries before doing this (tying the hair back). You know, those guys don't have fingers to clear the path
