I've learned since being here that this is:
1) perfectly normal;
2) possibly improved by giving bottled or purified water; and
3) easy to clean off when done on a regular basis.
If they happen to harden (which they don't, if you keep up with cleaning), you can soften them with eye wash from a pet store or even a little water or petroleum jelly. I took a tip from another YTer about using a flea comb to get the little bits out of his fur; works really well. |
