Yep. If you're feeding the right food (ie, a food that is "agreeing" with them) - their anal glands should not be filling up much at all. If the glands do fill up a bit, their own firm stools should push the contents out when they poo. If the glands are becoming blocked/full then you probably need to change food. Dogs really should not need their glands emptied, regularly, by a human unless there is something anatomically wrong in the area.
