Very good points! But since I breed....vacations are out of the picture for me I do not trust anyone to care for my babies (I know I'm anal)

I am married so I have a hubby around to bug me...LOL

I was thinking as something to do if I were to lose my current job (economy) or for when I CAN quit on my own...as some little extra.

And I sure if I run accross anything that seems to good to be true....than it probably is.

But gosh I would soooooooooooo love to work from home!!!

It is something to consider. 3 years or so into my business I took an evening job making minimum wage at a fabric and craft store just to get some human contact and be around people with similar interests. The other thing to consider with self-employment is the fact that it may be hard to take a vacation. When you get sick, there is no sick leave and probably no one to fill in for you. Income can be inconsistent. If you have a good month you hang on to the extra bucks because next month may not be so good. Personally, I have found a happy medium. I now work full time for corporate America and have my consulting business part time. I get to work from home a couple of days a week and get full benefits. I also earn a consistent income.
