aggressive puppies Cassidy is 6 1/2 months now and she doesn't love baths but one thing I read and tried was to put her in the place that you normally bathe and just give treats, no bath. Lots of positive interaction and treats but no scary stuff. It seemed to help.
But today it was strange, I think she acted aggressive towards me but not in a bath. Her and Dezi, my 5 year old are always challenging each other with their chewies. Dezi taunts Cassie and eggs her on to cause a chase. Dezi growls but waggs her tail the whole time. Today Cassie stalked Dezi until she looked away and Cassie snached the chew away. I went to get the chew and put it away before they started fighting and when I took it away, Cassie hesitated for a second and jumped into the air towards my hand. She was growling and it wasn't play.
I trained her to let me have whatever I needed to take away from her and she got much better, she was never aggressive but always ran from me if I wanted to take something away from her. I tried the Dog Whisperer move today and laid her on her side so she knows I am the boss. She was very submissive and literally closed her eyes to sleep while I had her on her side. She is 2 lbs! But there have been issues between my two girls. They are not friends and I don't know if they ever will be so I can't let either of them show aggression. |
