Your welcome I would research it on the internet about housetraining your dog or even do a search on here put in pee pads or housetraining in the search box and you will find a previous thread. When I first got Jack and Mandy I wanted them in a fairly small area in the kitchen so I put the crate inside the xpen. I think you should come up with a goal on how you want her trained. If you put the pad in the crate she may go in the crate. Do you want her to do that or would you rather leave the crate open with the xpen around it and have a pad outside of it ( its important to determine a specific place so she will know where to go and show her and keep it in one spot. I am thinking if you eventually want her to have free reign of the house ytou want the pad to be in one spot. I would assume like I do with my cats. Well I hope this will help but I only know a bit about pee pad use.
