i totally see what you are saying but IMO i dont think there is anything wrong with telling a little girl she is pretty... that is a compliment.. and she can do what she wants with it.. i know when i was little and i stranger told my mom that i was pretty or something id be happy.. i didnt respond but it wasnt creepy.. at my last job id tell little girls who looked all dressed up how pretty they look and little boys they looked cute/handsome! sometimes they responded "thank u" and sometimes they would just shy away and their moms would say "thank u"... i know from all the news media blowing up child predators but i dont think someone complimenting a little girl is going too far.. maybe just trying to put a smile on their face
