Call animal control to see if they picked him up, call the Humane Society to see if someone turned him in. Find out where your local inpound is and see if he was turned in there. Keep looking, asking and checking everywhere. If he was wearing ID I know in my state you can call DOT and see if they picked him up, they note info on pets they find incase an owner is still looking. (I pray that isn't the case for you little Pup)
Our beautiful seal point Ragdoll cat came up missing once (wearing ID) and I went to Kinko after three days and made up flyers with his photo and our info on it and put one on every door on our street. I also noted that he was on meds every day and a children's pet who missed him very much. I walked in the rain all day asking everyone I saw with no result. But by 11:00pm the day I put the flyers out he was back at our house sitting in the driveway. A neighbor called to say he was out there. He was thin and dehydrated but ok. The vet said it looked like he'd been caught in a live trap which alot of people use in our area, or locked up in someone's shed by accident. We believe the flyers may have made some people check for him and when he was found they set him free and he made his way home.
Good luck! |
