Yikes... I guess I spoke too soon.
I had my yorkies in a kennel for the past 2wks because I was out of town. When I came back I noticed that my female was fat! She's got a tiny tummy so I noticed the difference immediately. We noticed her in heat around June 14 so we seperated them right then and there. Her nipples were a little swollen the last few weeks but they got like that last time she was in heat. Evidentally we were too late in seperating them and I know we didn't put them back together too soon (my vet made sure of that). When I picked them up from the kennel today, the girl said "Congrats, your having puppies soon." She assumed that we knew.

I asked my vet how we could have missed this and he said that we probably didn't pull them apart soon enough and they must have tied. And she just started showing in the last week because she should be having them soon. So now I'm freaking out because I wasn't prepared for this. I do want to breed but I was going to prepare myself a little more. Now I am desperate for some advice. I am only able to attach one picture that I took and it's kind of dark so I hope you all can see it. My vet did indeed confirm that she is pregnant and should probably have them in the next 2wks. He said she is completely healthy and will be a great mom. I'm excited but scared. He offered to do an xray but I was in a hurry so I may go back for that next week.

I really am so excited, I would just like some advice please! My finances are okay and my mother doesnt work so she can stay home and care for the puppies and of course I will bring them to my vet to make sure they are all okay. Thank you for your time!! My yorkies mean a lot to me and I want to give them the best care.
