Well, I have done lots of research and this phone has problems. I learned that T-mobile is getting a new 3G network in October, and with it is coming lots of new phones. I now think I might hold out for the new Blackberry bold which should be available sometime in January. For now, I can download software for my Blackberry so I can read and edit Microsoft office documents and read .pdf files.
