The kind I'm talking about says "Instant Carpet Stain Remover", the one that says rug cleaner isn't that good, I haven't tried the one for pets. I alway use the Natures Miracle, and only use the spot shot if I can see something afterwards. But you couldn't use the regular spot shot all by itself because it has no enzyme action to destroy the protein smell that causes dogs to return.

I don't know if the one for pets will get the old stain out.
