I have a 5 month old male yorkie who is 7 pounds now... between 14weeks and 19 weeks he gained 2 pounds, but now he is slowing down. I really would not freak out over your pup being so big, god made her that way for a reason. But, as for the breeder saying she has never had a dog weigh over 5 pounds, and now yours is nearly there at 12 weeks i would have to call her out. did you actually go to the breeders home and see the dogs?

I thought Buffalo would be smaller too, but you adjust to the size. Everything works out for a reason.
