Kacee has super fine silky hair like that. It did really mat when she was younger. She's just past 3 yrs now and it just gets a little matted now and then, usually where her harness goes. But I keep her hair fairly long. Sometimes it's about an inch from the floor, but this summer I've kept it even with the bottom of her tummy. I love her hair now. It's something everyone comments about how soft and silky it is. It is also kind of funny because people start playing with it 'cause it feels so good!
