Gizmo had five baby teeth removed including his canines when he was neutered. I don't think the removal of the teeth bothered him much at all. I think it felt better not to have that pressure from the crowding, because he actually seemed to eat better than he had in awhile right after.
I did stock up on soft food, but he went right to his kibble.
