Charlie definitely has a musk about him after he plays around outside for even a little while. It's more pronounced in hot weather that in cold. It doesn't bother me but it makes my husband push him away. We can't help but pet him and I bet having five pairs of hands (me, my husband, and three kids) rub on him intensifies any musk he might have.
Another thing to note is that I fed Charlie Solid Gold Wee Bits with salmon and bison and he loved them. But....I noticed that when he was on that food, that musk I'm talking about was putrid - even for me. My guess is that the kind of food they're on does make a difference. He's on Nature's Recipe for Toy Breeds now and he likes it just fine - and he doesn't emit any offensive odor.
