Yes and no. Biewers originated in Germany from 2 standard color Yorkies, thus becoming the Beiwer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon. Over time they were selectively bred to reproduce the variance in coloring. As of now their is a standard for the Biewers regarding specific requriements for color placement. They are not registerable with AKC. The goal of working towards getting them accepted and how to go about it is widely not currently agreed upon by present day Biewer breeders. Partis have no set standard at this point and no requirements for color placement. They ARE registerable with AKC.
