It really wasn't hard. They all didn't know everything - they only need to know their part and that you are doing a scavenger hunt. The clues were in an envelope, so all they had to do was hang onto the clue. I took everything in the same day of the scavenger hunt.
If you use local owned stores you might have more luck. Those people love building business. But I actually used Victoria Secrets - the girls were so into it - there, I actually picked out 2 outfits, that were the same price and prepaid for one, so he just had to choose
= And for the book, I used Barnes and Noble - I had the book put on hold, with the note inside and prepaid.
You can get really creative. I did cookies too - because he had a sweet tooth. You can make it fun - have him get the music etc.
