What are you feeding him? Because if its soft dog food that does get in there hair and smells. You would need to wash his face after he eats. Possible even put alittle shampoo to clean the hair out. If he has a heavy coat it does get smelly faster. I have a little 2.8 lb dog with a very thick coat and she will smell almost in a week. We wash her and she stays pretty good for the most part. But males are good at getting stuff on there coats.
