So this new place just opened up here and it has a huge indoor pool for dogs. I took Jack there to swim for his first time. He just shook the entire time. I finally got him out into the water but he kept trying to head back to the stairs. After while I took him to the opposite side of the shallow end and he swam along the edge. He did this a few times but by the time he got to the stairs he was just whimpering to get out. I just praised him and praised him. Would have given him treats but they are not allowed in the pool area. I am wondering what everyone else's experience with swimming was. If I get him in the water more, will he eventually like swimming?
