That's prudent.

You might also want to lay some sheets there in case it does fall down. Especially if you have carpet. This would capture any shards that might work their way into the carpet. I hope that they get it repaired in a timely manner. Perhaps you could have them install a stained glass Yorkie there instead of plain glass. Then you would have your Yorkie too.
