hmmm... i don't know if it has to do with size necessarily. Kash is 3.5 lbs and he sleeps through the night. i take him out before we go to bed around 10 p.m. and then i wake up at 7 a.m. and take him out. he doesn't jump off the bed to pee on the floor and he doesn't wake me up to take him out... i know he doesn't jump off because, if he did, he'd beg to get back up (we don't have doggie steps or a ramp).
he DOES know, however, when it's exactly 7 a.m. though. because if i sleep even 1 minute passed 7 a.m. he just sits directly in front of my face and stares at me until i wake up and take him out. lol.
