Do you also have dry eye?
I do and the result is a problem with the oil glands in my eyelids. They don't drain properly. Have you ever noticed clear...ummm....looks like a tiny blister on the flat part of your eyelid that rests right next to your eye? If you have, this is (maybe) the problem. I have to put in antibiotic eyedrops when this happens. It is Zymar. This always takes care of it. It happens frequently enough that my opthamaligist (sp?) just calls in the prescription for me when I run out without requiring an office visit.
This is much different than a stye.
Hope you get it resolved quickly. It is distressing.
