I was laid off yesterday!
I had a contract until Sept. 30th...lotta good that did me...they laid off 6 contract employees.....I was worried what would happen at the end of Sept. but I have a trip to Europe booked for the first 2 weeks of Oct. and figured if they did not renew my contract ...I would get my vacation either way....now my trip is 8 weeks away and both my husband and I are laid off!
He is supposed to go back in 4 weeks and I am job hunting...but new employers won't be too eager to hire someone who needs 2 weeks off that soon!
How many others are dealing with layoff?
