Maggy May was only 6 weeks old when she came to us, but that wasn't by choice, the lady who had the litter was going to put the whole litter down that week if she didn't find homes for all of them, so, that's how we ended up with Maggy May. She had a real hard time and a A LOT of health issues, but we're talking back yard breeder here (the lady she came from.) We've spend more money on Maggy May to get her healthy than we have on all of our other three furbabies put together in the whole time we've had them. From past experience, the best age to get a pup is definately around 12 weeks of age, but considering that if we didn't take Maggy May and Gibbs, they were going to be put to death, we took them and did the best we could for them. Unfortunately, Gibbs was so sick and worm ridden he didn't make it even after spending the night with him in the ER hospital.
