Can anyone reccomend a good training/behavioral book. Jersey is 17 months old and out of the blue has become dog aggressive or probably a better word would be dominance aggressive/territorial.

We have had her from 10 weeks old and she's been fine with my girls (yorkies) all of them including Jersey is spayed. Have been spayed since pups. The last month she has been very dominant with them. The dominance has now become unprovoked attacks. Well, I'm sure in her mind they are provoced but it can be something as simple as them coming to sit by her, sit too close to her or simply walk by her.

I posted to find a good home with a semi retired person/couple with no children or other animals. I have not found the right one yet but I would also like to try hard to get her out of this. I do not want to rehome her but I believe at this point she is capable of really hurting or killing one of them or getting hurt herself. I mean how much are the girls going to take before they go back at her. Jersey is 5 lbs. my two teapots are 17 lbs. and 13 lbs. so they can really damage her if they wanted to do so. My two little ones are only 3.5 lbs. and 4 lbs. and I'm very fearful that the 3.5 will really get hurt or killed by Jersey.

She is great with people, but skittish with strangers.

If anyone can reccomend a good book to read that may help I'd appreciate it. I've spent close to $400 at the vets thinking it could be medical but it's not. She does have allergies and her ears have trouble as it's secondary to the allergies. My vet gave a reccomenation of a behavorialist and in depth medical testing but to the tune of $3,000 - $5,000. I've been going to them for 13 yrs. and although I've been told it's all about the money. I've never seen it until now and I really feel as though he's trying to take me for a ride. I can't afford $3,000 - $5,000 especially when he told me it's no guarantee they will be able to help. If anyone can help me with some books to read I would really appreciate it.
