I thought the same thing of Jack. I started taking him for longer walks, 1 hour to 1 and a half hours daily, if not twice daily. The other night he finally rolled onto his back in a submissive position and I rubbed his tummy for like 20 to 30 minutes easily. And when I came home for break he wagged his tail and moved around all excited. This is the first time I have ever seen him show any kind of affection toward me. I was wondering if he had his own suttle ways. It seemed to take time. I would try playing with him when he bites you. It might be him saying, "hey I would like you to play with me." it doesn't hurt to give it a try. Another thing I do to keep him from getting use to the same places is to take him on dfferent trails all the time. Good luck!
