Hi Everyone,

I just picked up a beautiful 7 month old yorkie last week from a Yorkie rescue group. He is gorgeous. He still has his puppy fur, which is very cottony and light. It is CONSTANTLY matting. I cannot keep up with it. I brush and comb him everyday, but around his neck where his collar sits is matting, around his leg holes of his harness are matting and little shirts are bad for causing matting too. Any tips or tricks? Are leather collars better than nylon? When does this puppy fur get replaced with big boy fur. I feel so horrible for Tobi each time I find another matt. We are talking 2 or 3 a day easily.

Any tips? Thanks fellow yorkie parents! This is my first yorkie and there is SO much to learn!
