If you are going to use a larger crate- stuff a pillow in the back to make it into a smaller space for your pup.. like the other poster said- in order to get him to hold it it needs to be a small space that he doesn't want to pee or poop in. When moved Layla to a larger crate and used a pillow and towels to make a smaller space and now that she can hold it all night she gets the whole crate.
